Extracting a single sound font

    Hello

One of the main things I want to do with polyphone is extract single instruments as their own sound fonts to use them for a web based application I am designing where I don't want (and don't need) to load every instrument in a package. Or maybe I want to use 5 instruments from a list of hundreds. I want the sound fonts I use to be as light as possible to load. Is there an easy way to do this?

Right now, I am making a copy of my sound font, deleting all the samples, instruments, and presets I don't want, then saving it with a new name. It seems like there should be a really easy solution to this (i.e. select one or more presets, press a button that says extract as sf2 file, and it's done). Am I missing something?

Otherwise, I am really enjoying using the program. Thanks to all who have put it together,

Such things can easily be done with the "Export Soundfonts" option which you can find in the main menu.

Also Polyphone allows you to open multiple soundfonts: with copy / paste you can copy a preset including its samples and instruments from one file to another
