Bread Bread's Distortion Guitar (v2.1)

2.1: Extended Range Single

Extended Range Single maps: Lets you use single-note velocity switches with a wider velocity range. Scroll down to see the associated map.

I was tired of SoundFont guitars sounding "that way they do", so I went and made my own library. Wanted velocity switches too, makes it easy to sketch out a guitar track.

Features:

-Sampled all the way from D#1 to D#6
-Double-tracked on all samples
-Recorded with a mix-ready tone chain
-Multiple articulations(mutes at launch, chords coming soon)
-2 round-robins for all articulations
-Velocity switches for easy articulation programming
-MIDI-ready GM maps if you're dropping this onto an existing project
-Multiple presets for different uses on your track
-All presets are on bank 0, no need to worry about VST jank!

Feel free to use this soundfont in your music. If you're making a soundfont with samples from this instrument, feel free to use these samples.

Samples edited with OpenMPT. Soundfont programming done via Polyphone.

HOW TO USE:

Each map has different intended uses.

0-2: Velocity Switches. 0 is Double-Tracking, 1 is the left channel(mono), 2 is the right channel(also in mono). Use CC7/CC11 for volume changes instead. See VELOCITY SWITCH MAP below for a reference.

3-5: Extended Range Single maps.  Sacrifices chords in exchange for being able to use single notes with a wider range of velocities. Scroll down to see the associated map.

7-25: Individual instruments containing just the sample maps. Intended for uses like dragging the instrument into OpenMPT.

29, 30: GM compliant instrument maps. If you're just plopping this on top of an existing MIDI, these are here to ensure it sounds good. 030 is left channel, 029 is right channel.
029 also has a low-pass filter applied to it to better match the intended instrument.

If you're volume-balancing according to GM.DLS in context of a larger soundfont, use the Attenuation values. I referenced GeneralUser GS 2.0.1 to guess what Attenuations to go with for 029 and 030.

40-50: For the crazy power users that want to spam program change commands everywhere and use velocity for volume instead of CC7/CC11.

VELOCITY SWITCH MAP:

120-127: Sustain Down
110-119: Sustain Up
