Troublesome note in soundfont

A soundfont I created in Polyphone  plays all notes correctly in Polyphone. When I loaded it in  the synth (sforzando) and use it in my DAW one note (E3) plays nearly a semi tone flat. I checked sample rate and parameters -everything looks correct. I recently down loaded coolsoft's soft synth. loaded the soundfont in and weirdly enough it plays the E3 sharp!   I tried loading in a new sample of the E3 but got the same results. any help would be appreciated.

it would help if you attach the soundfont or part of it containing the troublesome sample.

Attached is anmp3 of the note played in Polyphone followed by the same note  in my DAW using  the soundfont in Sforzando synth.  The soundfont is too big to attach. here is a link:

i am not interested in mp3's of any kind. in Polyphone it is very easy to extract the Instrument to a separate soundfont and very easy to strip it to the note in question.

I only included the mp3 files as examples of what the E3 sounds like on my players.    Did you try the soudfont that I included the link  for yourself and did the E3 play correctly?

that E3 sample is in fact a D3#, just set the rootkey to 51 .

Thanks for your time looking into this, I do appreciate it. I attached a pic of the instrument set up. D#3 has 51 as root key and plays correctly. E3  root key is 52 and plays correctly on the Polyphone key board.  The fact that sforzando plays E3 as D#3 and coolsoft synth plays it as an F3  is mysterious. changing the root key to 51 for the E3 just makes it  the same as D#3.

in the Samples folder of your soundfont select E3 and hit the space bar. now Polyphonr plays the sample at its rootkey.
now select D#3 and hit the space bar; same note. Ergo.....
sforzando is pure shit. i use the Coolsoft VirtualMidiSynth and it plays your soundfont correctly when E3 is set to 51 (its actual rootkey)

OK but then why does  the D#3 play correctly with a root key of 51?

because 51 is the right setting for D#3 (even if you falsely rename it to E3)
