32 bit installer "not a valid win32 application"

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I'm running a 32 bit version of WinXP SP3 (I can hear you giggling). Initiating the 32 bit installer pops up the following message - Polyphone_v2.2_win32.exe is not a valid win32 application. I'm guessing there is a problem with XP. Can anyone suggest a solution. Regards Ramlee.

Thank you for the advice. Is there a repo for the legacy versions on this site?

1.9 installed successfully in WInXP SP3. Thank you for your help.

1.9 is as good as the newer versions (i still use it myself), but take care with editing multiple selected wave files (for Export wave files or Rename), because sometimes all your loops will be deleted. save now and then after making sure everything is still ok.
    regards bottrop
