How to set pitch-bend range to +-12 semitones

  Could someone explain to me how I can configure an instrument such that:
  
  

  • Turning the pitch wheel to maximum will pitch the instrument up by 12 semitones
  • Turning the pitch wheel down to minimum will pitch the instrument down by 12 semitones

  
  I feel like I need to add a modulator in the global zone of the instrument with the source set to "pitch wheel", but I'm not sure what the amount should be set to, or what the destination of the modulator should be. Right now the pitch wheel seems to do absolutely nothing.

  This is a default modulator.
  Although it can be adjusted in theory, it does not give a practical result.
  Instead, a setting should be made in the MIDI file.
  Order1: CC100: 0
  Order2: CC101: 0
  Order3: CC6: 12
  will give you the result you want.
  Note: It is a good idea to give a minimum of 10 tick between the above CCs.
