NOTE: This soundfont is currently in beta, meaning it's not finished yet. It only contains the standard drumset, I'm planning to add support for GS drumsets (Room, Power, etc.) in the future--this is when NitroFont will go out of beta. Meanwhile, any feedback will be appreciated!
NitroFont is my attempt at creating a high-quality soundfont. While it sounds mostly realistic, the goal when creating it wasn't to make it sound so--I just wanted it to sound good on my ears, by using some of my favorite samples. And, after several days of testing the soundfont, making adjustments, and trial-and-error, this is what was achieved.
I was trying to make a high-quality soundfont as far back as 2022 (unless I'm wrong). Back then, I didn't have as many soundfont creation skills as I have today, so the soundfont I made sounded not so good. I deleted it--for good. In fact, I made multiple attempts at creating a high-quality soundfont. Many of the end results were scrapped because I couldn't achieve what I wanted to. But a few weeks ago, I made another attempt, and got satisfied with the final result in the end.
All samples were taken from other soundfonts I could reach on the Internet (particularly Polyphone and Musical Artifacts)--all of these are freely licensed AFAIK, so I had nothing to worry about. However, it's important to note that some free (as in "freedom") soundfonts have samples of dubious origin. So, if you notice a non-free sample in NitroFont, please let me know. I'll try to replace it as quickly as possible and do my best at preventing myself from getting into a legal situation.
All sample sources are credited inside the SF2 file.

Polyphone a besoin de vous !
Polyphone est gratuit mais il y a des coûts associés à son site web et à son développement. Un petit coup de pouce aidera beaucoup.
