Playing a sample with looping enabled in the sample editor should also loop when being played via the keyboard's virtual or midi input. We can loop from the play button when the checkbox is enabled, but trying a make sure the loop point works with any pitch shifted ranges currently involves having to go into the instrument or preset to play the rest of the notes, then return to the sample to make any changes if needed. In soundfonts with a large number of instruments and samples, this process of jumping back and forth between them starts to get very tedious.
