used a few programs for this one.
first i renamed pictures to have artist_filename for some cc0 art i liked on pixabay
next i used irfanview to batch convert the cc0 images from pixabay to .bmps.
then i imported each as RAW audio and let it automatically determine settings, ctrl a to select all and mixed down to mono, then batch exported as wavs to pull into polyphone. lots of beautiful quick and painless drag and drop there and voila, a small pack of gritty beautiful sounds that were once images.
